More than a dozen states have moved to adopt DOGE-style tactics but have shied from setting concrete goals that the public could use to track their success.

GOP lawmakers in Kansas and Missouri set up online portals where residents can report waste and submit efficiency ideas. Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds (R) announced she will use artificial intelligence or other technology to streamline government.
